why is poverty

The question is disturbing that why the people of some particular areas of India are poor for years and years. There are many families among them, who are facing poverty from generation to generation. Whenever these areas were visited during two decades

One thing was seen in common amongst the poorest 200 districts of the country that these are the districts which have been doing most of the poverty alleviation programs in these districts since the first five year plan came into existence in 1951.

Since then all the development plans of the country have been focused on these districts. On an average, 195 development programs were conducted in each district. The aim of all these programs was to reduce poverty.

It is a matter of great concern that the next generation of poor families is also getting poorer, but their condition is worse. Not only this, resources like water, forest, land are also getting away from the reach of this new generation. either

Now we are in 2020. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised that poverty will end within the next two years. It will be eight years before the Sustainable Development Goals (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs) will cover 203

It is unfortunate for data-collecting institutions that their government has stopped releasing consumer expenditure survey reports from November 2019 onwards, which would have revealed the realities of the poor in the country.
